developing wordpress

Using wordpress for your websites needs can be a
very rewarding process.

Themes, plugins, PHP MySQL, Linux, all these things make up wordpress…

WordPress is one of the most powerful publishing platforms today simply because of how open it is to innovation.

For example you can create just about any type of system that uses PHP to create the functionality you want.

In as little as one hour, and yes, (5 minutes, if your a super geek) but say one hour for the rest of humanity, you can have a very powerful system setup and ready to deliver good quality content. There are a lot of steps in between here and there however you can learn what makes wordpress so powerful and you can learn about it right here.

One of the most over looked methods about working with wordpress is that using keywords in your system setup is something that you need to do, right now only a small percentage of users do that.

Here are a few questions that you might consider when thinking about developing content for your wordpress website.

  • For example, when you do keyword research do you just use one search engine to get your results?
  • how do you know that those results are accurate?
  • Can you be sure that your research is valid?
  • how can you tell if what your doing will have a good result?

For the most part it is difficult to tell if you have discovered gold in a niche however, sometimes, it is really just around the corner, freshness is what attracts consumers, and that is something that everyone wants, have a look at this video because it covers some very good information on how consumer relate to each other and it is something that you can learn from.

Panda update part 3

What if you found out that everything you thought you knew about SEO was Wrong…

What most people do not understand about Google is that Google is not your friend.

Google is a business, they do not care about you or what you are doing.

They do not care about information, fairness, love, family, humanity, or anything else but what they are actively pursuing.

What Google is actively pursuing, is profit, it has been said by many that Google may be loosing touch with its user base.

Consider the truth of that statement and then consider what would happen if every last soul online refused to use google as a search tool.

What do you think would happen then?

The next version of the super engine has allegedly, become a reality, with even more blogging farms, being effected.

Over the last two months there has been wild speculation about how the changes to the search engine giant Google would effect some publishers, notably EZA, was one such company allegedly adversely effected by the updates however, they like many others seemed to focus on the wrong areas.

“Some publishers have fixated on our prior Panda algorithm change, but Panda was just one of roughly 500 search improvements we expect to roll out to search this year,” writes Google Fellow Amit Singhal on the Google Webmaster Central blog. “In fact, since we launched Panda, we’ve rolled out over a dozen additional tweaks to our ranking algorithms, and some sites have incorrectly assumed that changes in their rankings were related to Panda. Search is a complicated and evolving art and science, so rather than focusing on specific algorithmic tweaks, we encourage you to focus on delivering the best possible experience for users.”

I can tell you that I saw this coming a mile away, and in fact we have been making adjustments for a long time now, however, you will not find perfect content here, nor should you, in our opinion no one is perfect, people are human and they do not expect perfection nor should they be restricted to only such content as what others view, as perfect, (really a form of censorship) so all in all the main idea was to get better results from the search engines, mostly because bing and yahoo sort of joined forces to some degree, offset by Google, which did not want to see that kind of competition.

No matter where you come down in the panda debates, the one thing that is clear is that you need to have good strong content that is based on quality not quantity, that is what we get from Google and that is what we hope to bring you the website visitor, you may not see perfection, and likely you might even see a grammar mistake, or two, however the focus here is to provide information that will help you in your endeavors, both on and off line writing and development of websites.
