keyword mechanics

September 6, 2012 By keyword software Leave a Comment

One of the most important things you must learn if you ever want to understand and flourish as a keyword research and development engineer or even as a laymen is a painfully simple process that once you finally “get” it you can benefit from learning this process.

One of the most important things that few research enthusiasts appear to appreciate is the fact that data is valuable, it is also expensive, to develop data over a network, you must have a hardware or virtual data path, that is expensive to maintain…

You must have a building, with fire retardant, multiple backup systems, Electrical backup, onsite personal with the ability to hot swap if needed as well as a dozen other mundane tasks, believe it or not, its one of the most boring jobs in the world and you will fall asleep if your not Mr. Spock…

Now take all that and multiple it by ten thousand and then you will have the beginning knowledge of how much money something like this will cost you, hint, (its multiple Millions of dollars per month)

Now consider this, you spend all this money every month you hire people you pay them a lot of money, you have to buy them insurance, they get perks, you keep them happy because if they are not happy they will go to work for your competition, so you have to have a human resources department…

I could go on for days and days but you get the point here, its expensive now tell me anyone, why would you reveal your terribly expensive data to just anyone?

Seriously, anyone think that in this instance a company would just give over its most productive and valuable resource?

No, you dont and NO you would not do it either…

It would be like buying a Porsche and letting your 15 year child drive the thing…

Its not something that anyone would do, but you want to attract the real consumers of this data which are not us…

The real consumers are the big time advertisers, you know people who spend 50 million dollars on advertising every year, Now those people will have access to data that they can use to sell what they have at a price that pays for both the advertising and fills the stock holders pockets at the same time.

Naturally, you have to know that this is not data that you would just hand over to anyone for just any old reason, so when your searching for keywords, do you think that data is anywhere near real time data?

Think 20 to 30 days old, and then you will have a much better idea of the quality of the data your getting, ever notice that they don’t give you access to trends and volume at the same time, (that is not an accident)

I know it probably feels like you just cant win in this game and your partially correct in that assumption however you can find better ways to locate better data and use that data to enhance your success online, the thing to remember is that you cannot trust everything you think is a resource just for your use.

Because it is not, in fact it is probably one of the reasons why so many marketers fail to achieve search engine results, in the world of baseball this is best described as a curve ball and if your not aware of the games that are being played all around you the end result will be the same you are not going to game the system its not setup for your pleasure and use its setup for the big dogs to make money using the system designed for them to use.

We are not them, we never will be and that is something you have to accept and manage because if you do not understand this you will struggle to succeed and that is what 90 percent of Marketers and or website owners, and or any other designation you wish, (insert blank here)  until you realize that your playing in a ball game that you did not design and or develop you will find yourself “thinking” you have the upper hand, then you will put your effort and time into developing content that is based on demand that is too old to manage effectively.

You might be looking at influenced data and that means that everything you think you know about that data might be wrong, you could be looking at data that is from so long ago that what you think your targeting might be something very different, for example lets say your selling a fluffy bunny rabbit, and you get a search phrase of fluffy bunny or buy fluffy bunny but you “think” the data your looking at is from a time period of today, but what if your actually looking at data from last Christmas, when they came out with fluffy the bunny adventure game for christmas it was a popular toy and no one could find one that waited too late.

So your thinking wow I just found a great keyword phrase, now Im going to Kill it, but the data your looking at is stale old and incomplete, so you go out and you do your Thang…

And Presto Bingo,…

Nothing happens.

Opps, what happened, well you were looking at stale data, in fact tell me where in the Terms and Conditions it says that they owe you anything like that kind of premium data, think of it like this your a stock trading company, you have three options, you can get trending data at every 2 minutes, every 7 minutes and every 15 minutes, each level of data is successively more expensive than the last which allows you to develop a better method of anticipating the cost of a commodity now if your cheap you will go with the 15 minutes data stream, which means that most of your traders will hit the wrong bell at the wrong time and your clients will be wroth with you in the extreme.

You see until you realize that you are not in the Cat Bird Seat, your never going to find the success that you really want out of life and out of this thing we call Marketing…

keywords updates

July 30, 2012 By keyword software Leave a Comment

Maintaining a website is really all about keeping the lights on and the content hot.

It might surprise you to learn that almost 90 percent of website owners do not follow up

on blogs and websites they create they have this idea of setting it and forgetting it but that

is not a good way to market a website at all.

Are you ready for the new World Wide Web because everything has changed….   Getting the most out of your research and how you can really make a difference

Its all about to change now and the chances are good that you may not realize it…

First lets talk about the good the bad and the ugly and what that can mean to you…

If you are like many online marketers, you may not realize how quickly things change.

How one moment of time can make a huge difference in how things work in the world of online marketing.

Yet for the most part, you see many of the so called self educated Gurus, out there selling trash and trying to say its gold.

If you were born before 1975 the chances are very good that you have learned the value of work and the method that makes men rich…

That is because likely you were raised up in a time when morals still had meaning, now days it seems as if there are so many people out there attempting

to find a short cut, a quick way around the work, the actual thing that people have to do in order to make a living.

If things change so quickly, then why are the gurus trying to sell you junk that does not work…

The truth about the gurus is that they know often less than you know, but they are willing because of a lack of morals to sell you something that is worthless.

The most important thing you can do every day for your website is to do research.

Every day, do at least five minutes of research, how hard can that be?

Keyword basics

July 22, 2012 By keyword developer Leave a Comment

When it comes to writing and publishing content online what is your first move…

How can you tell the difference between good keywords and keywords that are old and stale…

If you can answer that question you would be rich beyond your dreams yet most website owners have no idea at all about how to find and use keywords effectively.

Keywords are one of the most powerful marketing methods but did you know that most website owners do not even know how to evaluate keyword data?

you can use to create a better website.

Developing content using keywords is something that no only is a needful thing but it is something that you must do every week, week after week. When you think about keywords, research is the number one consideration when you first begin to plan on developing content. The basics of learning how keywords can help your website become more popular in the search engines is a skill that every webmaster should be learning. Yet few people actually take the time to learn about doing keyword research or the benefits of doing that.

So how important are keywords anyway?

Well keywords are basically indications of what people look for when they get online.

They look for all kinds of information, sometimes it is about products or services, because in the world in which we live it is not enough to trust someone just because they say that they can do a job or just because you see a commercial on TV, advertising a product or service.

Different people have different definitions of what value is, in some instances value can be less than what you think it should be.

For this reason many people have begun to look online for what others may have experienced with a company or a product or service.

For example we wanted to buy a replacement coffee brewing system for a single serve system because we were not able to drink an entire pot of coffee, it was really wasting a lot of coffee, so we went online and we started searching for the keyword single serve coffee maker we found a lot of search results, and we gradually found that a product made by a particular company had good reviews, the product was also well received.

So if you were a website owner and you were developing a page for promoting a particular coffee maker then you would look for the kinds of keywords and keyword phrases that buyers would want to search for in order to get information they are seeking.

It is this method that website owners need to identify and create website content that meets the needs of the people who are searching for your information on your webpage.

Knowing the right keywords and keyword phrases can only come from doing research.

Research is a combination of finding the words that people use to search for products, some of the method of doing research is done by comparing the different types of search results that appear when you look for a keyword.  Software can be a very effective tool along with using other tools provided by different search engines.  The main issue when doing research is to find the right data, simply because a search engine may not always provide up to date or even valid information, you really do have to examine the results you get from the different tools, then you need to compare those results in order to find the right keywords.

Learning about the methods that you can use to find good keywords is really a time consuming process, however it is worth the time because you will find that more traffic will be the end result and as any webmaster will tell you without traffic, you don’t have much of anything else.

The truth about domain names

July 16, 2012 By keyword software Leave a Comment

One minute exact name matches are hot and work like gangbusters the next, opps, nothing at all, so how do you value the development of keyword domains if your not sure what will happen in the future and what if you must develop a complex combination lock of content and targeted SEO developments to create and sustain the value of that domain name.

Developing good domain names using keyword data, is it really reliable?

The following is from a discussion about google adwords, product with the word adwords in the domain name, some affiliate work was being done at that website, and over the years, since 2003, google likely benefited a lot from this websites efforts, but now they want to shut down the website, is that right, or wrong…

There was a long fest of comments, posted, of which this one was of interest.

(this does not reflect the thoughts opinions or other issues of the owners or operators or admins of this website.)

I think most of us have been around here long enough to know the difference between a discussion and a disagreement, this is a discussion.

You can see that at least I hope, that is plain, because it is evident that most of us agree, that while the law may be in a grey area, I.E. Bad Faith, and what Bad Faith is, may be something completely different, I think there is room for some interpretation and thus discussion.

There is such a thing as Fair use, and that is a proven legal entitlement, now I do not argue that in this case, but I also do not think that this particular discussion, is the basis, for an automatic Bad Faith Judgement.

Of course you would have to read the law to completely understand its intent.

And if anyone here is engaging in this discussion without having read the law, then I think that would be a sad thing, because in that case, your engaging in a discussing without having understood what your talking about.

The original intent of the law was to deal with three different distinct, legal situations, however later it was amended, and it was changed, so that makes it a little bit of a different apple to slice up,  the most important part of this discussion here, is what action should be the result of the proceeding action, and that I believe everyone here has a clear understanding of, cease and desist and move on.

I think any prudent reasonable person would do that without fail.

What I find to be of interest is that in the past, you had a relationship between these two legal entities, one being a publisher, the other being a trade mark owner, the publisher, brought in more business to the marks owner, and thus likely this “unofficial” relationship was permitted, because of the time involved, it is unlikely that this would result in any serious action, however, having said that, it is important to understand that permitting an action to occur as in this case, Google Adwords, by implicitly, allowed this relationship to grow and to become prosperous for both parties.

The publisher attracted consumers to the marks product, so it is not an adversarial relationship which is what many have commented on in error.

There was no bad faith in this implicit, relationship, until such time as the mark owner, took action, that makes it now a much different thing, which is why the OP should take action and comply, however, it is unlikely that an argument can be made that in the past, such implicit behavior by the marks owner, warrants, damages, because of the time that has taken place, one might say and rightfully so that this unofficial relationship was beneficial to both individuals, but from this time on, it could become “messy” which is why the OP should copy the website, and move it to a non, infringing domain name as well it might not be a bad idea to ask if the material might be published on a different domain name.

The OP might discover that the only objection is one of the proceeding use of the mark as a prior term, if that is the case then the publisher, (the OP) may go on with some level of the previous relationship which certainly would be beneficial, once again.

Disclaimer, this is not legal advice, the proceeding is an opinion expressed in a public forum, and not meant as advice and or for any meaningful communication.

However, I object to the idea that there is some evil intent afforded by this participatory arrangement that existed prior to this moment, for example, there are literally millions and millions of domain names out there, as well as millions of small business names out there that at times are found to be fair use.

It is something of a grey area and is not as some have suggested here to be a matter of property, it is a matter of alleged infringement, and that is where many have made an error in expression of how they feel, emotion has no place in this discussion.

Simply because both parties, benefited from the relationship in the past, means that this is not an automatic bad faith use of the mark as well this does not mean that the OP or others that have ongoing relationships that benefit both parties, are also evil.

What it means is that when no action exists, and no bad faith is apparent then a beneficial relationship can be granted, because, no action can mean implicit, or can mean implicit, behavior.

This idea that some Evil Exists, on the part of the OP, and that the Marks owner, never benefited from this unofficial relationship is pure Rubbish.

I would encourage anyone to actually read the law, in its entirety, as well as legal reports from some of the most respected legal minds of our time, as well as from some published thesis of the better law schools, then having been educated you might better express a thought, because speaking publicly about a subject that you know nothing about, and basing that information on emotion and anger, is just not very appealing as well it brings about the idea that ignorance is respected when in fact the opposite is true.

Bad faith is the operator here, if there were bad faith, then that is the only thing that matters, here, and since no meaningful communication has taken place, prior to this action, the relationship of the past cannot be logically implicit in this conversation only what happens now is important, and what happens next will be between these two parties, the publisher and the mark, and only the publisher knows if there was bad faith from the onset of this action.

No one should come in and judge the OP based on emotion and ignorance, that is a sad thing to do and it is not respectful, We should all be adults, here and thus be able to engage in an adult conversation without all this vitriol.

I see a lot of discussion as if everything were black and white but the truth is that nothing is that simple, and anyone who does not realize that truth is fooling themselves, thinking they are better than anyone else, because of how they view something emotionally and not logically, because the law is logical it is not emotional but in so many instances, people make the mistake of applying emotion as if it were law, as fairness as if it were law.

The truth is that the law is often not fair, it sometimes does not make sense, it is not the great equalizer, it is what it is, and if you do not know what the law is, then sadly you do not know what your discussing and that is truly sad.

Adsense Marketing Pennies from google?

June 8, 2012 By keyword software Leave a Comment

How much money would you have to earn before you felt like you had actually

earned money…

One Penny here, One Penny there, a few cents here a few cents there.

You put hours into building up your website, you put time and effort into creating content.

You learned how to get a domain name, you paid, money to get a hosting account, developed a website, and put hours of your life that you will never get back.

For all this you get a few pennies here and there and that is if your lucky…

What happens when advertising networks fail to pay up when its time?

Nothing, that’s what, one thing you should learn quickly in this new electronic world, you cannot depend on advertising networks to pay your bills.

Advertising is all about matching up buyers with sellers, that is really what ad-sense is about.

If you are waiting to get rich from ad sense marketing then you may have a long wait, back about 5 years ago you could actually make a ton of money with Adsense, these days if you make a few bucks a week your doing good in some cases, your doing better than many other websites.

There are many that say you can make a lot of money just using Google ad-sense.

Making Money With Ad-sense

Ad sense is easily one of the most powerful tools in a website publisher’s arsenal.

It creates the ability for a person to monetize their sites with little effort. If used properly, it can generate a very large and healthy income for them. However if you are not using them rightly and just maximizing the income you squeeze from it, you are actually leaving a lot of money on the table. Something all people hate doing.

How you can start earning money with Adsense can be done easily and quickly.

Start by writing some quality content articles which contain good keywords see researching keywords in the menu above.

There are actually three steps before you begin writing your ads and having an effective Adsense campaign.

Keyword search.

Find some popular subjects, keywords or phrase. Select the ones which you think has more people clicking through. This is actually a keyword selector and suggestion tool that some sites are offering to those who are just their Adsense business.

Writing articles. Start writing original content with keywords from the topics that you have achieved in your search. Take note that search engines are taking pride in the quality of their articles and what you will be writing should keep up with their demands.

Quality content site.  Build a quality content site incorporated with Adsense ads that is targeting the subject and keywords of your articles and websites. This is where all that youíve done initially will go to and this is also where they will prove their worth to you.

Ad placement is one of the most important things you can do for your website, however an estimated 94 percent of most website owners do not understand just how important it is to place the ad in the right spot.

Try to position your ads where surfers are most likely to click on them. According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left. The reason behind this is not known. Maybe it is because some of the most useful search engine results are at the top of all other rankings. So visitors tend to look in that same place when browsing through other sites.

Some of those who are just starting at this business may think they are doing pretty well already and thinking that their clickthrough rates and CPM figures are quite healthy. However, there are more techniques and styles to generate more clicks to double your earnings. By knowing these techniques and working them to your advantage, you will realize that you will be getting three times more than other people who have been previously doing what they are doing.

Finally, Adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of site on a site by site, page by page, or any other basis you wanted. You should be aware oft his capability and make the most of it because it is one powerful tool that will help you find out which ads are performing best. This way, you can fine tune your Adsense ads and focus more on the ones being visited the most rather than those who are being ignored.

Another thing you should know. Banners and skyscrapers are dead. Ask the experts. So better forget about banners and skyscrapers. Surfers universally ignore these kinds of ad formats. The reason behind this is that they are recognized as an advert and advert are rarely of any interest thatís why people ignore them.

To really start making money with Adsense, you should have a definite focus on what you wanted to achieve and how you will go about achieving them. As with any other kind of business ventures, time is needed coupled with patience.

Updates make a difference, ignore your website and it will ignore you and your Adsense once you have finished accomplishing them. Spare some time, even an hour, making adjustments to the Adsense ads on your sites to quickly trigger your Adsense income.

Article Marketing dead?

May 10, 2012 By keyword software Leave a Comment

The Question of the practice of using content published on third party sites to attempt to gain a marginal backlink back to the authors website, has long been a “Through a glass darkly” type experience, however this video really puts the shine on the idea that content published on your own website along with keyword content and some decent quality can produce better results than using EZA or other Article marketing farms or other publishers to “hope” that you get some kind of back link magic out of the author box.

This video really ties that mentality together well.

writing keyword articles

May 1, 2012 By keyword software Leave a Comment

How do you go about finding the right keywords to use in producing articles?

What about finding the right type of keywords, one thing that comes to mind is that we have some issues with getting data, how do we know its real?

Do you trust Google keywords tool?

Do you trust, Adwords to do the right thing?

When you start doing keyword research what is the best method of finding out what
is really hot and what is not so hot.

There are several different search engines, like bing, yahoo, and other search engines, as well there are a lot of people who are not interested in using google because of all the problems they have been having over the last few months, using the controversial method of filtering search data.

Many searchers have switched to other places to get their search on for many good reasons.

Google seems intent on advertising, adwords over valid search results.

Google seems to be only interested in large corporate sponsorships, leaving the small business consumer out of the process.

The result has been poor search results, and people have noticed it and they hate it, in fact they hate google.

That is why so many people are moving to search engines like bing.

The truth is that google does not provide much in the way of consumer related services.

They do not provide much in the way of support.

They do not provide much at all.

The biggest thing about Google is that they have forgotten that without consumers, without searchers, they are nothing.

As an additional topic of interest are the millions of websites that publish content for a living.

There seems to be this anti small business issue, going on with google right now, they seem to be moving in a place where people no one can publish good material without coming into contact with the famous google slap…

The Google insult, The Google Lie, The Google Evil way of doing business.

What does this mean to you if you are a small website business that wants to advertise online?

It means that you may not be able to compete with larger corporations that have more money and do not want to deal with competitors, the thing you may be wondering about is it fair for Google to choose winners and loosers?

Some people say, the answer is they can do what ever they want to do…

That may be true, but is it really what Google wants to do, think about it, this year alone, allegedly more than one hundred thousands websites, and advertisers, that used to advertise on ad-words have been suspended and or terminated.

They have been prevented from advertising online like the larger corporate based business leaders.

That means, that if every one of those 250 thousand people tell five other people that Google will have one hell of a Public Relations problem, but it would appear that Google does not care what anyone thinks and you have to wonder about that issue because when you have a publicly traded company that owes stock holders an explanation about what they are doing with all that money that those stock holders have given them, eventually someone has to pay the price for that arrogance.

Someone has to do the right thing for the consumer.
